Job Summary
We have a unique opportunity for a driven Environmental Scientist looking to
take the next step in their career to be a part of our leading Marine Sciences
/ Impact Assessment and Permitting Team based in Perth.
This position will provide you with an opportunity to further develop your
career- collaborating with members of multidisciplinary teams in both marine
and terrestrial environments- you will gain exposure to a diverse array of
high profile projects across a range of sectors including oil and gas- ports
and harbours- Defence- renewable energy- public infrastructure and mining. You

We are looking for a versatile person who has experience or a willingness t

work across both marine and terrestrial environments to deliver environmental
impact assessments and environmental approvals for our clients.

Ideally an experienced marine scientist you will contribute to all stages of
the environmental impact assessment and environmental approvals process
including planning and execution of field work for technical studies-
development and undertaking monitoring programs- data analysis and reporting.

An understanding of and experience with delivering approvals under the
Commonwealth and State regulatory frameworks governing environmental impact
assessment is required.

Minimum Requirements

With an attention to detail- you will be willing to take on new challenges and to contribute ideas and think innovatively to solve problems you may encounter

4 to 8 years relevant industry experience in marine environmental science and demonstrated client focus.

A sound understanding of environmental impact assessment principles- environmental legislation and regulatory requirements for both offshore (oil and gas) and coastal marine developments.

Experience in offshore oil and gas approvals would be beneficial.

Experience in planning and implementing field studies in remote locations (offshore preferred

Statistical data analysis and GIS skills.

Bachelor|s degree in appropriate discipline (e.g. BSc. Env Sc. or similar with a Marine Science or Biology major)

Job Details

Reporting to the Workgroup Manager – Geosciences and Remediation Services- you
will task manage and contribute to contamination assessments and remediation
projects of varying size and complexity. Your role will focus on assisting
delivery of contamination management and assessment work packages within city-
shaping infrastructure projects- with the flexibility to contribute to
assessment and remediation projects in other sectors as required. With an
uncompromising commitment to health and safety- client service and technical
excellence- you will be an experienced environmental engineer or scientist- at
ease in a dynamic work environment- preparing reports- leading field work
teams- liaising with subcontractors- communicating with clients and project
stakeholders- planning and preparing work scopes and promoting innovative

Minimum Requirements

Previous experience in a consultancy environment- specifically contaminated land assessment and remediation

Technically strong in preliminary and detailed site investigations for soil- vapour- and groundwater

Experience in data management software (ESDAT / Equis) and preparation of environmental reports

H&S training including: First Aid- Construction Induction (White Card)- and preferably 24 or 40 hr HAZWOPER.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor`s degree in an appropriate discipline such as environmental science- engineering- geology- or earth science.

Professional/Senior Water & Wastewater Engineer. Working alongside a team of
highly motivated and Experienced Engineers- you will play an integral part of
managing- designing and delivering a range of water projects across Western
Australia and other regions within Australia.
The key responsibilities for the role are;

Minimum Requirements

The successful candidate will be able to prove a background in the civil /
mechanical design and delivery of water and wastewater treatment and
conveyance projects. Experience is process design would be considered
beneficial. Ability to manage own workload and that of others to achieve
deliver on time and to budget. Previous experience in a multidisciplinary
design team as either a design lead or design manager is preferred.

7+ years| of relevant professional experience on water and wastewater projects within a design environment

Network and treatment planning and design experience that demonstrates the development and evaluation of options to arrive at a preferred solution – water- recycled water- sewerage

Knowledge of water industry standards- codes- and common practices in the industry

Experience in 3D design (AutoCAD Civil 3D- AutoCAD Plant 3D or equivalent) – desired but not essential

Construction site and/or commissioning experience – desired

A passion for achieving excellence in the water industry and as a team player

Excellent oral and written communication skills

An ability to travel as required for project and business development activities
