Role Overview:
Dell EMC has an opening for a Bid Manager/Opportunity Pursuit Lead. This key
team member has the opportunity to make immediate impact in expanding Dell
EMC|s footprint across the enterprise market. The candidate will serve as
opportunity ‘pursuit leader` for task order responses and will manage ‘virtual
bid /pursuit teams` to win new work leveraging Dell Technologies powerful
portfolio of products and services delivered across the Australian enterprise
market.
The ideal candidate will function as an individual contributor as well as a
‘virtual bid team` leader. This individual will partner closely with account
executives- solutions architects- proposal managers- technical writers

pricing managers- finance- and HR leaders to assure Dell EMC proposals ar

viewed as best in class and worthy of consideration and reward. The successfu

candidate will oversee win strategies- action plans- competitive analysis

teaming strategies and agreements- proposed solution offering- pricing an

price-to-win.

Your future duties and responsibilities :
Organize and leads the pursuit team to drive forward pursuit efforts. For all
opportunities approved for pursuit lead the bid/pursuit team to ensure a
quality – competitive and winning bid response is prepared and submitted by
the due date . The Bid Manager will also ensure the bid submission has all the
appropriate internal approvals required prior to submission by the due date.

Specific examples include but are not limited to:
o Refine understanding of procurement requirements and customer points
o Develop solution strategy / win strategy / value propositions
o Project Manage the ‘bid response preparation` such that the due date is met
with a quality and competitive response.
o Identify corporate past performance references based on RFP requirements
o Develop pricing strategy and deal financial model

•Interfaces between the Account Team and internal and external stakeholders
(prime or subcontractors- business group units such as legal- contracts-
subcontracts- etc.).

.Chairs regular ‘bid response team` meetings and reviews of agreed actions
•Leads Preparation and Delivery of Executive Review- strategy sessions- etc.
•Implement teaming strategy (partnership with AE)
•Prepares status reports and briefings for management.
•Supports continual process improvement around the capture and proposal
process.
•Maintains appropriate records and documentation; tracks- monitors- and
reports data to support capture efforts.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

. ‘project management` or ‘bid management` skills or certifications.
•Demonstrated ability to collaborate and build win-win partnerships within a
firm/corporation- with a particular focus on understanding how to leverage
technology differentiators
•Excellent communication skills and highly effective interpersonal skills are
required as well as an ability to inspire confidence and provide leadership
throughout the company

.Teaming and collaboration skills

.Good commercial acumen

.Experience leading ‘virtual teams`
•Familiarity with technology/market trends in Data centre / Cloud/Mobility/Big
Data/Security/ Managed services is a plus

. Sales support or pre-sales or commercial management experience in the IT
industry would be an advantage

.Familiarity with the MTA or MSA agreements that may already be in place with
the target customers
