team of experts| you will learn something different every day as you work with
new seasonal menus and unique presentations. You hard work pays off when a
dish that you’ve thoughtfully helped to prepare has guests raving and anxious

What you’ll be doing
Prepare ingredients for cooking| including portioning| chopping| and storing food. Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables. Weigh| measure| and mix ingredients. Prepare and cook food according to recipes| quality standards| presentation standards| and food preparation checklist. Prepare cold foods. Operate ovens| stoves| grills| microwaves| and fryers. Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently. Monitor food quality while preparing food. Set-up and break down work station. Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles. Wash and disinfect kitchen area| tables| tools| knives| and equipment. Check and ensure the correctness of the temperature of appliances and food.
To prepare| cook and present food to the standards set by the Executive Chef and Sous Chef.
To be familiar with and participate in the ordering procedures.
To ensure consistency of high standards and quality.
To ensure wastage is kept to a minimum.
To maintain the working environment to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness and thus in compliance with relevant legislations
To be responsible for the allocated section| e.g. stock rotation| quality mise-en-place| correct mis-en-place sheets.
To ensure fridges| freezers and dry stores are kept in an orderly and acceptable manner.
To monitor at all times presentation| quality and portion size of food.
To be responsible in undertaking menu changes| food specials and special events menus.
To develop excellent organisation and time management skill

Previous kitchen experience is a big plus
This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs. Standing|
sitting or walking for extended periods of time and ensuring a professional
appearance in a clean uniform are also required. Prior to employment| we’ll
ask you to complete safety training and certification.
