Job Summary
Our Infrastructure Advisory business is looking for a highly driven Business
Case and Economics Consultant to join the Infrastructure & Economics team
based in Melbourne. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to
contribute to the planning and delivery of high-profile infrastructure
projects for a broad range of government and private sector clients. We are
looking for an agile individual who loves problem solving- leading teams and
has an excellent approach to client and customer service across transport-
infrastructure- buildings and precincts- and government.
The team offers a range of services- including business case development
financial and economic analysis- strategic advice- feasibility and pre
feasibility advice and infrastructure prioritisation. The successful candidat
will be responsible for applying strong technical capability when assessin
problems- benefits and costs to solve our clients` problems in a dynamic and
changing environment. You will be required to have a competency and interest
in providing technically informed advisory consulting services as well as a
passion for developing long term client relationships and winning work.
Skills and Responsibilities
The key things you will do to deliver advisory consulting services includes:
Providing infrastructure advisory and consulting services to public and private clients
Leading the development of business cases- asset decision frameworks and technical advisory services- collaboratively drawing in the other expertise of AECOM
Maintaining and further developing relationships with a wide range of clients and critical internal and external stakeholders
Work as a member of multi-disciplinary teams- providing support to senior business leaders and leadership to junior staff
Help leading and to grow a team focused on delivering high standards of service.
Minimum Requirements
To be successful in this position you will have:
Experience in infrastructure projects- such as transport- precincts- water- waste or other asset classes
Project experience with regards to the asset life cycle and particularly business case technical advice
A demonstrated ability to foster and strengthen relationships
Skills in interpreting- developing and analysing economic- financial and operational models and articulating results and recommendations
Good communication skills- both verbal and written- with ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate complex concepts in a way that everyone understands
Preferred Qualifications
A Bachelor`s degree or higher in commerce/economics- finance- and/or engineering disciplines- or similar
You will have a minimum of 8 years` experience- ideally working within consulting- although government and other relevant sectors may be suitable.
