AECOM Construction Services deliver Project and Construction Management
services to a variety of projects in Defence but also more broadly in
Healthcare- Education- Leisure & Fitness and Mining sectors. This opportunit

as a Design Manager will be based in our busy Adelaide office- and deliver

range of projects for our Government clients.

The Role

As a Design Manager- you will be responsible for all communications with the
client- project stakeholders and managing and coordinating the design team to
provide cost effective and quality outcomes for the client within the agreed
program and contractual obligations.

You will have a thorough understanding of design methodologies and experience
within the construction industry and will lead the production of rigorously
defensible design solutions that can withstand detailed scrutiny.

This is a position where an understanding of utilising BIM throughout the
design process is essential- therefore you will be committed to integrating
all phases of a project to ensure solid lines of communication across multiple
stakeholders.

Minimum Requirements

As a successful Design Manager in our Adelaide office you will likely hold a
background and understanding in the following:

Bachelor|s degree in civil or structural engineering- architecture or similar

7 + years` experience in design management across Defence- Education or Healthcare sectors

Managing and integrating the design process of buildings and infrastructure in a 3D environment.

Driving the design process to maximise efficiency- integration between architects and building services engineers and alignment with Project Manager and Client requirements.

Overseeing team compliance with Technical Quality Review procedures- conduct quality reviews on basis of technical experience and understanding of Project Manager and Client expectations.

Ability to contribute to tender submissions by assisting with program development- fee estimates and proposal inputs relating to BIM processes

Support a range of projects and programs- including new construction and extensive refurbishment programs with major Clients.

Understand the commercial and contractual environment for each project.

Produce high quality written reports and briefs for communication to the client and internal and external stakeholders.

Be a key leader in an integrated- multi-disciplinary and diverse team- and work with business- project and client account leadership to improve AECOM performance and productivity.

Preferred Qualifications

Proven background and understanding of Defence project standards- process and clients

Strong preference to BIM/Revit exposure across complex projects
