Location

This iconic Resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the
Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises 295
guest rooms| suites and villas.

Department

We are seeking a new member to join our Front Office Team| as the Guest
Communications Agent. This position reports directly to the Front Office
Manager.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to:

•Respond to all guest enquiries and requests in a timely and efficient manner
ensuring 5 service standard is maintained at all times and seeking
opportunities to go above and beyond

•Establish good relationships with other departments including Housekeeping
and Engineering to ensure fast and efficient responses to guests requests

•Assist in the coordination of emergency situations ensuring communication to
guests and colleagues is professional| clear and efficient

•Seek out opportunities to go above and beyond in guest service| working with
colleagues across departments where required

•Coordinate Guest Service operations during shift and ensure adherence to all
Standards and Procedures.

•Handle guest complaints with the support of Duty Managers. Immediately act to
restore guest satisfaction| demonstrating Marriott Standards at all times.
Ensure all incidents are communicated to the Manager on Duty.

•To notify and assist in investigations in all matters pertaining to safety
and security

•Recommend and implement new policies and procedures to improve business
results.

•Ensure the guest|s privacy is maintained at all times.

•Ability to work flexible rosters including weekends

•Preferred applicants must have valid working rights to work in Australia.

The successful applicant will have:

•Strong communications skills and a calm| professional demeanour

•Experience in an International standard 4 or 5 star Hotel (desirable)

•High school certificate or equivalent qualification

•Tertiary Qualifications in Hospitality or related field (desirable)
