Job Summary
Our busy Melbourne team are looking for a Junior Project Controls Engineer to
contribute towards project control functions across our diverse Project and
Construction Management portfolio- assisting our Project Managers and clients
in managing project schedule- cost and risk.
The projects you could be involved in will include diverse industry sectors
such as Civil Infrastructure- Defence- Aviation- Energy & Resources- Mining-
Education and Healthcare.
The Role
As a Junior Project Controls Engineer in AECOM- you will report to the Projec

Controls Lead and support our Project and Construction Management team acros

a broad range of projects- whilst receiving the relevant training and caree

development.

Based in our client-side Project Management team- your role will also include
supporting and managing project cost control activities such as budget-
cashflow- estimate at completion (EAC)- invoicing and subcontractor payments
and setting up/managing Project Earned Value Management processes.

Minimum Requirements

As a Project Control Engineer you will use your passion for using analytics to
improve our project delivery across a broad range of industry sectors.
Alongside this- you will have the following key attributes and skillsets;

Proven background in Engineering or Construction with 2 or 3 years` experience

Strong oral and written communication skills- with a confidence in engaging across multi-disciplined stakeholders

Basic understanding of Earned Value Management- Risk Management and Project Management

Strong analytical skills to provide advice to Project Managers

Demonstrated time management and organisational skills

Understanding of all stages of project lifecycle and the role of project controls throughout

Exposure to project management frameworks and tools (with experience in VBA strongly advantageous- not essential)

Previous experience in a project control function is an advantage but not prerequisite

Preferred Qualifications

Tertiary Qualification in relevant field; Civil Engineering- Construction or similar

2-3 years professional experience in the engineering or construction industry- ideally

Excellent knowledge of Excel essential
