About the role

In your new roleas Junior Sous Chef| you will utilise your creative flair and
passion for foodto ensure high quality food production for hotel outlets|
which meet the standardsexpected by Hilton Hotels| while ensuring all hygiene
and Workplace Health andSafety (WHS) requirements are consistently met.

Duties/responsibilities

Assist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef with managing the Kitchen operations

Ensure provision of food work in a timely manner

Reduce and avoid food wastage

Manage and maintain a clean working environment

Demonstrate responsibility and ownership of your assigned Kitchen section

General food preparation

Ensure all food production is in line with food and company standards

Ensure the consistent delivery of quality| well-presented food to our customers

Work effectively within the kitchen brigade to ensure high quality customer service standards

Demonstrate a working understanding of food| hygiene and safety principles| ensuring compliance at all times

Meet all hygiene and WHS requirements

Skills/experience

Previous experience as a Chef dePartie or Junior Sous Chef is essential
Proven culinary experience with a lacarte and catering experience is essential
Hands on approach to your work and theability to lead by example
It is essential that you have atminimum a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
Demonstrated supervisory experience ina kitchen
Ability and desire to motivate a team
Fluent in the English language inorder to communicate professionally with guests and team members| both inperson and over the telephone
A passion for delivering exceptionalguest experiences
Demonstrated ability to resolveproblems and conflict| and work effectively under pressure
Well-presented and calm personality
