The Role
Our project and program team in Melbourne are looking for a proven Project
Director- with an interest in both business development and delivery across
our growing Built Environment sector- including Health- Education and
Government sectors.
This is a leadership role which will enable the successful Director to
identify- pursue- win and integrate our services across a variety of clients
(internal and external)- while developing- advising and delivering on an
effective pipeline of work from our busy Melbourne offices.
As an effective Director in the project and program management team- you will
thrive in adapting to diverse projects and be capable of integrating AECOM`s
national and global resources for various client requirements- as well as
integrating our project and program capability across major AECOM projects
throughout Victoria.
A Director in our team will enjoy a varied and adaptive role- including
development of core market strategies alongside transformational growth and
identifying new business opportunity across the built environment. This role
will work towards key deliverables and operate closely with two or more
delivery partners on major projects- therefore engaging in multiple
stakeholders across project lifespan.
Minimum Requirements
The successful Director will ideally have a proven background in either
Education- Health or Government projects- alongside a strong knowledge in
State/Federal Government process from bid stage through to delivery. Alongside
this some key attributes and expectations of the role are listed as follows;
Proven background in client engagement and major project bid- win and delivery roles- ideally across Health- Education or Government projects
Outgoing and motivated towards strategic thinking- with excellent communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to advise in strategy of pipeline management including development of key market strategies- early identification of key opportunities and capture planning.
Strong knowledge of Victorian market and early identification of resource needs to support pipeline and establishing a plan for sustainable growth to support.
Attendance and presentation at industry forums and events- with a keen drive for networking and new business opportunity
Passionate for driving safety leadership across projects and continuous improvement in this space
Evidence of overseeing the delivery of large and complex projects as a Project Director or similar; ideally in Health- Education or Government sectors
Innovative and driven towards continuous improvement in the delivery and integration of our team. This includes integration of our broad service offering across the business driving the cultural aspiration of Make it Happen and Embrace New and Different.
Capability in developing business cases and strategic projects (such as Master planning) in line with our core business strategy
Development of Joint Venture partnerships and a proven background across varied disciplines and sectors
Preferred Qualifications
Proven background and network in Victoria
Prior exposure to bid writing and bid management
Strong local knowledge of Government- Health and Education sectors throughout Victoria
