Job Summary
The Project Engineer develops and/or delivers infrastructure or other projects
in accordance with time- cost- quality and scope objectives to meet client
requirements within a delivery based project management office.
In this role you will work closely with the Project Manager in the delivery of
civil construction (road) projects across multiple stakeholder groups in a
complex and technical civil infrastructure environment. The Project Engineer
will have an expectation to deliver objectives as part of an integrated
owner`s team and manage the KPI`s of cost- schedule- quality- safety- an
client service.
The Role
The role of Project Engineer on Easing Sydney`s Congestion will be focussed on
working night shifts- 40 hours per week across the basic hours of 8pm-5am
(including break) Monday ??? Friday. This is a position which requires
experience in community- council and stakeholder management during the
delivery GC21 contracts.
The Project Engineer will be accountable for the delivery of projects covering
municipal infrastructure related to transport infrastructure across various
packages at differing values. Therefore- you will be a proven Project Engineer
and capable of liaising with the client to ensure expectations are satisfied-
managing the team through to successful completion- conducting scheduled
reviews on progress- and managing project interfaces.
Our Easing Sydney`s Congestion program is likely to be an ongoing major
project to work closely with RMS in AECOM Construction Services` client-side
project delivery team based in Parramatta- with activity across various site
locations throughout Sydney`s inner suburbs and ???Pinch Points`.
Minimum Requirements
Alongside the ability to work night shift hours in this fixed term contract we
are looking for the following skillsets and attributes;
A relevant degree in Civil Engineering- Construction or similar
Demonstrated experience in managing major infrastructure or other complex projects- such as road- bridge- maritime and- where applicable- tunnel projects- with a strong knowledge of either project implementation- including contract management (GC21)- including environmental planning and assessment processes.
Demonstrated ability as an effective project manager- with high level communication skills in the coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams- demonstrated ability to work effectively with stakeholders and the proven ability to lead and motivate project teams in construction industry projects.
High level communication skills with the ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels and demonstrated capability to develop flexible and workable solutions to meet Roads and Maritime customer expectations.
Demonstrated experience in the preparation of tender documentation- tendering procedures and/or overseeing professional service and/or construction contractors including undertaking the role of authorised delegate.
Proven project management skills- strong analytical- conceptual and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative and flexibility.
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to GC21 contracts strongly preferred
Project Management diploma or further education ideal (AIPM)
