Job Summary
Our Pavements team is seeking an experienced Senior Pavement Engineer to join
our Melbourne office. This role will give you the opportunity to develop your
career and technical skills while supporting the pavements business.
To be successful- the candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track
record in the delivery of technical projects and be conversant with the
standards that apply throughout the industry. We are looking for a team player
with good basic skills- knowledge and experience.
As a valued member of the Pavements team- opportunities will exist to be
involved in a project from the earliest stages of planning- design- and al
the way through to construction phase services.
Your demonstrated experience will enable you to immediately contribute to th
team. However- ongoing personal development is a major driver of the AECOM
business. AECOM provides support and mentoring locally and from the greater
ANZ business to ensure our staff develop the skills and experience necessary
to meet and exceed our client`s expectations.
About the Role
The Senior Pavement Engineer role will include new pavement design-
rehabilitation design- testing and pavement management advisory services. As
part of this role you will be given the opportunity to travel and work on a
range of assignments across highways- industrial- maritime and airfields
sectors.
You will also assist in preparation of bids and proposals and attend meetings
with contractors and clients- both external and internal and work on multi-
disciplinary project design teams.
Minimum Requirements
Relevant tertiary qualification;
Over 7 years` experience in a similar role;
Be well advanced in applying for or have achieved chartered engineer status with Engineers Australia- or equivalent;
Detailed understanding of Austroads Guide to Pavement Technology
Relevant experience enabling you to have developed a range of relative knowledge and skills;
Experienced in the provision and management of project design services- including managing pavement assessment (destructive and non-destructive methods)- design of new pavements and rehabilitation of existing pavements (flexible mandatory- rigid advantageous);
Experience across highways- industrial- maritime and airfields sectors would be advantageous;
Demonstrated experience in using pavement design software such as CIRCLY and Rubicon;
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
You should be willing to travel within Australia and overseas for limited periods;
A current VIC driver`s license.
