Provides technical expertise in support of pre-sales activities. Assists in
the analysis- design and development of data protection technology solutions
Technical emphasis is on data protection appliances- software and integratio
with customer IT environment and workloads. Makes technical and sale
presentations to customer|s technical staff and management. Understands Del
EMC or competitive technology and business applications to draft competitiv
solutions. Develops responses to customer requests and proposals as required.
Conducts research- answers questions and removes objections that arise in a
sales campaign. Responsible for channel technical enablement.

Develops and manages technical relationships with customers- partners and Dell EMC internal resources.
Using consultative selling skills with proven ability to work with customers and partners.
Able to plan and assist with execution of sales campaign with partners.
Responsible for channel technical enablement.
Leads/Participates in RFP/Proposal preparation when required engaging the broader account team.
Builds and delivers robust presentations- demos and proof of concepts for customers.
Builds technically sound and cost-effective solutions.
Proactively identifies key opportunities- determines competitive undercurrents and customer preferences.
Uses knowledge of competitive solutions to address and dispel objections to Dell EMC solutions.
Is constantly progressing towards technical close and identifying and agreeing on next steps.
Has a good understanding of key customers| business & associated industry trends.
Understands functions and IT infrastructure implications of major applications being used in customers| environments and industry.

Computer Science Graduate or equivalent.
8-12 years of related experience.
Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to technical teams as well as to business users and/or management.
Strong presentation skills.
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
Knowledge of data protection products and solutions.
Knowledge of Dell EMC strategy and technology is of benefit.
In-depth IT experience- with a broad understanding of DC infrastructure- IT platforms and applications.
Knowledge of Cloud Computing and Management/Orchestration concepts and technologies.
Cyber Recovery and Security knowledge is of benefit.
Good knowledge of virtualisation technologies: VMware- Hyper V
Understanding of Data Bases- File systems- Object Storage and Big Data.
