Location
This iconic resort is situated between the renowned Great Barrier Reef and the
Daintree Rainforest in Tropical North Queensland. The resort comprises 295
guest rooms| suites and villas.
Department
The Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Port Douglas is seeking a highly skilled and
experienced Stewarding Supervisor. The position reports directly to the
Stewarding Manager.

Job Description
Stewarding Supervisor’s responsibilities include and are not limited to:
•Ensuring the standards for hygiene in all food venues and kitchens are met
•Maintenance and storage of operating equipment (china| silver| glassware)
including utensils
•Ensure proper maintenance of all operating equipment| dishwashing machinery|
food and beverage equipment and report broken/damaged equipment to proper
departments for repair.
•Controlling chemical usage and the minimisation of breakages
•Assist in training| leading and inspiring the stewarding team members
•Responsible for the deep cleaning and sanitising of kitchens and ensuring all
checklists and tasks are completed to the highest standard.
•Rostering| delegation of duties and administrative tasks as and when required
•Preferred applicants will require valid working rights to work in Australia.

To be successful in this position you will need to possess the following
minimum requirements:
•High school certificate or equivalent qualification
•12 months in a similar role.
•Good presentation| communication skills and a fluency in English.
•Previous experience in a similar role
•Ability to work well under pressure
•Ability to work Full Time on a 7 day rotating roster
•Strong knowledgeable of HACCP
